Aerosat has responded to the community's need for assistance within the education sector. Numerous meetings within the organization have been held to address this need, resulting in a proposal to provide a number of schools with free Internet connectivity.

The Internet Connectivity provided by Aerosat assists in breaking down the digital divide apparent in developing countries such as South Africa. Aerosat is currently accepting applications for these free services to schools and underprivileged organizations.

Community Projects

Aerosat is also involved with many community projects to assist in skills development. To date, assistance to the department of Social development in the Eastern Cape has been provided promoting projects to further the IT skills in various communities. Projects like these are aimed to boost the education and skills acquired by residents in the surrounding areas, giving a valuable resource to them by exposing them to the wonders of Information Communication and Technology (ICT).

Various Children's Homes have received an Aerosat sponsorship which entitles them to the necessary hardware required to run an Internet access station. In addition to this, a permanent Internet connection with no data cap has been provided to them at no monthly charge.

Aerosat has also sponsored Imbewu SA, a non-profit organisation aimed at community development and empowerment in SA townships.

Aerosat is a national player that remains committed to social intervention in the poorer communities, utilizing technology which the Company believes has significant potential to bridge the digital divide; Aerosat is supportive of the Government's initiatives in this regard.
