Internet Service Providers Association of South Africa (ISPA)
Aerosat is registered as a member of the Internet Service Providers Association of South Africa and ensure that the operations of the network perform within the bounds of the ISPA Code of Conduct. For more information, please see http://www.ispa.org.za.
Wireless Access Providers Association (WAPA)
Aerosat is a founding member of this association, which aims to promote the growth and development of Wireless Internet and broadband services in South Africa by developing a Code of Conduct for its members to follow. Aerosat have a representative on the committee of this organization, ensuring that our finger is always on the pulse of new developments in wireless communication within South Africa. Film and Publications Board
The Aerosat group , each of our Internet cafes and each Internet Service Provider are registered members of the film and publications board (FPB), ensuring the safety, security and legality of content traversing our network.
Trade world
The Aerosat Group is registered with Tradeworld, allowing us to participate in various tender opportunities made available by local government. Currently, Aerosat operate the Metro wireless network for the Electricity and Energy department of the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Municipality, a network which spans from Port Elizabeth through Dispatch and Uitenhage.
Afrinic
The Aerosat Group is registered with Afrinic and are an IP address and ASN number assignee. Having our own ASN allows Aerosat to be a multi-homed, multi-tiered ISP, not bound to any one specific upstream service provider.
Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA)
The Aerosat Group hold multiple licenses from the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa, including a Radio Dealer License, Electronic Communications Services License and an Individual Electronic Communication and Network Services License.
